How to install Vedabase on Mac
~~~How to install Bhaktivedanta Vedabase 2019 on Mac (Intel based, M1 based or M2 based)~~~
IMPORTANT:- PLEASE READ THE BELOW TEXT COMPLETELY
In this particular video, the installation on MacBook Air (M2, 2022) running Monterey (version 12.4) is shown. The video also includes:-
(a) installation of Unicode icons (to be able to copy the text from Vedabase with Diacritics) and
(b) Optimised settings of the graphics/fonts/zoom level for better text viewing/reading on the Vedabase.
~~ Below are the different items that would be required for this installation: ~~
- Download the Vedabase software:

- Download Wineskin Winery:-
github.com/Gcenx/WineskinServer
- Path to put in Wineskin:-
"C:\Bhaktivedanta Vedabase 2003\Views.exe" "NFO\VB2019.sdw"
Hope it helps the devotees out there. In case of any issues feel free to leave your comments on the video.
Note 1:- The version numbers of the above mentioned softwares might get changed by the time someone follows this video for installation. That should not be a problem. You can use the latest versions for your installation.
Note 2:- If you don't want to follow the process given in this video, you can use a paid software named "Crossover for Mac". It does have 14 days trial also. CrossOver is not an emulator. It does the work of translating Windows commands into Mac commands so that you can run Windows software as if it were designed native to Mac.

Hare Krsna, with the given link above, there is no option to download the wineskin txz file. I tried to google it and download it, but the application does not open, can you please help

@@niranjana108 Hare Krsna, thank you for the video, when I try to open the application after unzipping it, says "Wineskin Winery” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. The software needs to be updated
@@tushtipatel Control + Right click on the application. On the pop up that appears, click OPEN keeping control pressed. It might work for you. Please check.
@@niranjana108 thank you, I tried some other way, I removed the quarantine flag before unzipping, that worked for me... Now I could successfully install... Thank you so much for the video

You can also try to open this link & check out various other ways- www.alphr.com/cannot-be-opened-because-the-developer-cannot-be-verified/

It's for Mac only. For windows it's straight forward installation.
